Wow! Time has flown. It seems like just yesterday that Fifth Grade 101 was held. Those bright-eyed, kinda nervous youngsters have blossomed into true middle schoolers! As we officially finish our time together, let’s contemplate what we’ve learned, loved, and will always remember!
Tracy Barrett honored our class with a book signing and discussion on Friday, May 13. Mrs. Barrett is a fantastic author and has penned 19 books at this point. After reading her work(s), and chatting with her in person, reflect on your thoughts about Tracy Barrett’s style as an author of mostly historical fiction and mysteries. What was most surprising to you? What other question would you like to ask her? Which other book that Mrs. Barrett has authored would you like to read? Why?

As we prepare for the Meigs SS fair, let’s think about what we’ve learned in this process. October 14, 2009: Mr. Whit and Mr Jack returned to teach our class more about the importance of conservation of energy through the documentary Kilowatt Ours.
